Unfortunately, my programmimg skills are still a little elimentary. For this reason these web pages may only work with Explorer 5 and Netscape 6, but not with Explorer 4 or earlier. You may also find earlier versions of Netscape cannot cope. Unfortunately, these earlier 'browsers' don't understand my instructions.

I hate following instructions, but there are just a few:

1) The main pages will take some time to load. Please be patient. Once loaded you ahould be able to skip backwards and forwards between pages quickly using the Menu on the left-hand side. The maps will take a long time to load (about 2 min), but the 1889 map is worth waiting for.

2) If the pages look odd when loaded try refreshing the page.

3) Pass the mouse over names and photos. If a little hand appears, you can get more information by clicking on the picture or name.

4) Clicking on the pictures will take you to a large picture. Once fully loaded you can copy the picture by 'right clicking' on the mouse. Beware - unless you want the high resolution pictures don't click. It well take 1-2 minutes to complete

5) The E-mail button is there so that you can send me up-dates or notify me of corrections.
